Welcome to my online art space! I hope you will check out my pet portraits. Also, I am excited to offer custom paintings featuring a special landscape or memorable place of your choice. I look forward to working with you to make your painting unique.
Art has always been a big part of my life. As a child, I had art lessons from Ruth Harrison of the Hockaday School in Dallas. Later, I enjoyed an inspiring art program at Thomas Jefferson High School, Dallas, under the direction of Marion Cole. At Southern Methodist University I had the privilege of studio art instruction with Texas Regional Painters; specifically, members of the Dallas Nine. Jerry Bywaters was the department head and my professors included DeForest Judd and Roger Winter. After graduation, I continued study toward an art education master’s degree on a fellowship at the University of Texas.

I am a retired public school art educator with several more years experience in art museum retail in the gift shop at The Modern in Fort Worth. Now I enjoy working as a full time artist. My medium is oil paint and my focus has been outdoor landscapes. studio still life, pet portraits, and wildlife.

I have two daughters and four grandchildren. My husband and I live on an old family farm where I enjoy all the benefits of living close to nature. Feel free to contact me via email with questions or requests. Thanks for your visit!
